NSST Girls Coaches
Melanie Camman

Picked out her first board in 1996, and quickly became a recognizable face at the ski hill in her home town of London Ontario. Within a few years she was entering rail jams, slope style, big air and halfpipe competitions locally and across Ontario. Spotted at a rail jam at Blue Mountain, she was sponsored by Ride snowboards as well as the Boardshop until she moved west.

Melanie has been working for NSST since 2008 and took over as head coach in 2011. Her coaching career began in Craigleith Ontario where she trained for three years before moving west. Like all Ontario kids who are only too happy to give up the ice and liftlines of the hills back home, she moved west in 2003 for the mountains of Whistler Blackcomb.

Now she lives in Vancouver balancing her time between school, an art/design career and snowboarding. Her mountain time is divided between Grouse, Seymour, and Whistler Blackcomb.

Leanne Tompkins

Started snowboarding in 2000, and two years later she started competing. My first competition was a slope style event at Manning Park, and since then I have competed in dozens of both slope style and rail jams all over the province. For this upcoming season Leanne has been selected to the BC SBX Team where she will be training and competing with the country's top athletes.

Leanne will be running the Ladies only programs this season and also will be our go to girl for all other NSST programs and she will be the one responsible for making sure that things are running smoothly.

When she isn't snowboarding you can either find her up in Whistler working for the Gravity mountain bike camps or on a lake coaching wake boarding.
